Advent

The season of Advent is upon us and you are invited to join us!

Even in today’s world with medical and technological wonders, the last four weeks of a pregnancy are filled with mixed emotions – excitement, anticipation, fear, exhaustion, worry, joy (just to name a few!). Mary and Joseph, long ago, experienced those same emotions. In this season of Advent, we prepare ourselves for the coming of the Messiah. With bated breath, we wait for the birth of the Christ child. Like parents of today who prepare their lives, homes, families, and schedules, for the arrival of a newborn, we can use these four weeks to prepare ourselves for the miraculous arrival of the greatest gift. Life is precious. Life with Jesus is holy, complete, fulfilling, and precious. Jesus has come to give you a gift. Will you journey with us this season, being intentional with your time and focus to prepare to meet Jesus (once again or maybe for the first time)? Will you receive the hope, faith, joy, peace, and love that Jesus brings for each of us? Let us look with anticipation towards the humble, earthly arrival of the one who knows us, loves us, and offers to save us.

“I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” Jesus speaking in John 10:10b (NIV)
